What You'll Be Doing Operate drilling equipment to support underground aggregate quarry production activities Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on drilling equipment to ensure safe operation Follow drill patterns and specifications to achieve accurate blasting outcomes Collaborate with team members to coordinate drilling schedules and production goals Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements What Are We Looking For Demonstrated ability to safely operate drilling or heavy equipment in an industrial setting Strong mechanical aptitude with the capability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement Ability to follow technical instructions, layouts, and drilling plans Dependable work ethic with the flexibility to adapt to changing production needs Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing Work Environment Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level What We Offer $28.76 per hour plus an additional $0.50 per hour underground rate $2,000 Sign-On Bonus paid out in two installments (6 months and 1 year) Benefits through the Union for Medical, Dental, Vision and Pension Union paid vacation, sick leave and holidays Equal Opportunity Employer - Minority / Female / Veteran / Disabled Shaping the future, building successes Heidelberg Materials – your springboard into the future of the construction materials industry.
