About the role

As the Manufacturing Operations Team Lead at Stryten Energy, you guide a fast-paced production area through each shift with an unwavering commitment to safety, quality, and delivery. You begin with a floor walk to verify safe conditions and proper PPE use, align the team in a brief stand-up, and translate the daily production schedule into clear assignments for both direct and indirect labor. Throughout the shift, you coach, verify first-shot approvals before runs, and ensure every job follows the Bill of Material.

What a day looks like

• Make safety the top priority: stop and correct hazards immediately, ensure every team member adheres to safety rules, and wear required PPE yourself.
• Investigate and document any incidents or near misses before the shift ends; ensure compliance with all safety policies and reporting.
• Reinforce company policies, procedures, attendance expectations, and work rules; complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Confirm correct PPE usage and maintain tracking of safety equipment and supplies.
• Translate the production schedule into actionable work, meeting customer demand while teaching and demonstrating correct methods.
• Assign tasks across the team, explain how to perform each job, and provide the tools and documentation needed to do it right and safely.
• Monitor the floor to optimize material and labor utilization while driving down scrap across all areas.
• Hit targets for machine setup and cycle times through disciplined planning and coaching.
• Field call-ins from team members who will be absent and promptly communicate status and reasons to relevant stakeholders.
• Lead start- and end-of-shift meetings to plan production and ensure a clean handoff to the next team.
• Complete end-of-shift production and manning reports with precision.
• Verify every job runs per the Bill of Material with accurate, approved first-piece/first-shot checks before production.
• Conduct employee performance reviews and provide actionable feedback.
• Execute the daily checklist from the Production Manager, including all quality and safety verifications.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping across production areas.
• Complete hazardous waste training and strictly follow all handling procedures.
• Attend production meetings and present status updates as required.
• Identify, propose, and implement cost, output, uptime, expense, and safety improvements.
• Participate in management, safety committee, and company-wide meetings and trainings as assigned.
• Perform other duties as needed to support business needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervising or managing a manufacturing production team (or a combination of relevant education and experience that ensures success in this role).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Skills and capabilities

• Strong attendance and performance track record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Completion of a forklift driving program.
• Completion of a scissor lift driving training program.
• Completion of a Lock Out / Tag Out program.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication to drive tasks to completion.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and perform well under pressure.
• Comfort communicating accurately with all levels of management.
• Self-motivated problem-solver who works well independently and in teams.
• Proficient in English (reading, writing & verbal skills).
