Chief Engineer

Coreslab Structures (MISSOURI) Inc. is now accepting qualified applications for Chief Engineer at our Prestress Concrete manufacturing plant in Marshall, Missouri Essential Duties / Responsibilities Oversee each phase of the engineering projects so that the group meets company specifications and standards and complies with federal and state regulations Determines and facilitates the goals of the group Identifies and procures the resources needed in house, or with outside consulting firms to complete projects Devises plans for each phase of the group’s projects Recruits engineering and drafting staff Mentors, supervises, and recruits drafting staff Performs quality control checks, ensuring the safety, effectiveness, and reliability of the products Evaluates costs within a specific time frame Supervises the installation of equipment and software Collaborates with group members to generate ideas and clarify specifications Delegates tasks as necessary to the engineering group Oversees the development of engineering and drafting processes, standards, and tools/programs Oversees and maintains the company’s certificates of authorization authority as the licensed managing agent as required by state statutes Resolves disputes between group members Communicates and collaborates with production personnel to resolve product discrepancies and questions Coordinates monthly project billing with accounting staff members and monitors monthly operating finances of the group Skills / Knowledge Good organizational and leadership skills Good verbal and written skills Computer literacy in Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Revit, and other Precast/Prestress Design software Ability to maintain good attitude under stressful and changing conditions Education / Experience Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri, or able to obtain through the process of reciprocity 5 years minimum precast concrete experience Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes Work Environment Office environment Meet with clients as needed Available to go to jobsites as needed Physical Requirements Able to handle stress Able to work long hours when needed Able to travel to company-sponsored meetings and seminars Benefits Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Vacation, Holiday, and 401(k) Schedule Job Type: Full-time Pay: Based on education, experience, and qualifications 8‑hour day shift with some overtime when needed Monday to Friday Measurement for Success Success is measured by comparing results in customer satisfaction and financial success against budgeted or company goals #J-18808-Ljbffr
