Posting Details Position/Classification Title: Training Specialist Classification Type: SHRA Position required to work during periods of adverse weather or other emergencies: N - Not Mandatory Minimum Experience/Education: Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of relevant administrative, program coordination, or operational support experience. Position Overview The training coordinator serves as the administrative support working independently to perform a full range of operational and administrative responsibilities within established policies and procedures. The role independently coordinates day‑to‑day logistics for on‑site and off‑site course delivery, including materials preparation, facilities coordination, participant management, scheduling, LMS administration, and routine reporting. The position applies working knowledge of programs, services, and procedures to resolve non‑standard issues by consulting applicable policies, manuals, and resources, and prepares written communications related to program and operational processes with guidance. While the role may encounter deviations from standard procedures and provide support to office or work‑unit activities, the scope of responsibility does not include ongoing policy interpretation authority, formal supervision, or responsibility for program or process redesign. Create special effects or animations using computers, or other electronic tools and media for use in communication and outreach campaigns and products. These duties align with Journey‑level competency expectations for independent, fully functional performance. Assesses and may resolve unprecedented problems that require research and review of policy and procedures. Applies judgment for problem resolution based on delegated authority from the supervisor. Understands programs and services sufficiently to apply knowledge in problem‑solving and responding to most questions and inquiries. Uses program knowledge to interface with other offices and organizations. Planning and Organizing Compiles and organizes information from different sources to develop reports and data. Performs general administrative tasks to support office operations. Customer Service Manages participants before, during, and after course delivery, providing high‑quality customer care. Responds to requests for program and procedural information. Contacts service recipients, vendors, or clients to provide or obtain information. Supports program delivery at on‑site and off‑site locations. Responds to questions or issues that deviate from standard operating procedures by determining and consulting appropriate resources. Composes written communications with guidance using standard formats. Independently composes correspondence involving program or operational procedures from general instructions or brief summaries. Operations Management Coordinates all preparation and logistical processing functions for on‑site and off‑site course offerings to assure quality and completion. Coordinates day‑to‑day operations for course delivery, ensuring proper and timely assembly, preparation, and delivery of program materials. Plans and organizes activities and coordinates logistics including: Assessment assembly Print materials Facilities Room setup and breakdown Facilitator support Schedules and coordinates appointments, meetings, and events. Plans and facilitates the support activities of an office or work unit. Coordinates with others to complete tasks. May serve as an office coordinator for a work unit. Leadership Performs LMS administration, including: Course management Registration monitoring Course closing tasks Selects, understands, and fully applies features of a variety of: Software programs (MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook and Sharepoint), Adobe Express, Qualtrics, Zoom Hosting) Machines (A/V Equipment) Office equipment (PC/Laptop, Copier, etc.) to produce the desired results.
