Fine Line Studios , an arts-based day program of Resources for Human Development, is looking for creative individuals with art skills to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Bridgeton area. What You’ll Do

As a Direct Support Professional at Fine Line Studios , you will:

• Facilitate art activities and support individuals in exploring their creativity and developing artistic skills
• Encourage creative expression while helping each participant build confidence, independence, and individual strengths
• Provide compassionate care and assistance to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Support individuals in working toward goals identified within their Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and document their progress
• Provide supervision and assistance to ensure the health, wellness, and safety of individuals served
• Implement individualized behavioral and therapeutic support plans as appropriate
• Assist individuals with personal care and activities of daily living as needed
• Support community participation, including recreational, social, and other meaningful activities
• Provide transportation for individuals as required and ensure safe transportation practices
• Complete daily participation logs, incident reports, and other required program documentation
• Collaborate with program staff, clinical team members, families, and other members of each individual’s circle of support
• Participate in required staff meetings, agency training, and professional development activities
• Promote an inclusive, respectful, and encouraging environment where each individual can express themselves and work toward their fullest potential

QualificationsRequired

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate
• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of direct experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or in the human services field
• Valid driver’s license with a 3-year clean motor vehicle record
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic documentation
• Ability to successfully complete all required training, including CPR and First Aid
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Preferred

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree
• Artistic skills, experience, or a strong personal interest in art and creative expression
• Experience working with adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities
• Human services, direct support, caregiving, education, recreation, or related experience
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Day Program Setting
• Schedule based on Fine Line Studios program needs
• Flexibility may be required for community activities, program events, and individual needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, twist, and climb stairs as needed
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more as required by the position
• Ability to safely assist and support individuals with daily activities
• Ability to drive and transport individuals as required
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
