Job Summary

We're looking for a warm, skilled, curious Pediatric OT to join our team part-time at our Elgin, IL location. Ideal schedule is 2–3 afternoons per week, 3:00–7:00 PM. Morning hours are available for infant and early intervention (birth–3) caseloads, and we're open to building toward more days or full-time. Whatever the schedule, you'll have a consistent caseload you can count on. This is a generalist pediatric OT role with a strong emphasis on emotional and sensory regulation. You will work with infants, toddlers, and school-age children and their families to evaluate, plan, and deliver play-based intervention that supports sensory processing, self-regulation, and motor development.

You'll collaborate closely with families, our in-house speech and feeding therapists, and outside professionals including pediatricians, early intervention providers, and school teams. Opportunity to work with early intervention clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations of sensory processing, self-regulation, motor skills, and daily living.
• Develop and implement individualized, play-based treatment plans that follow the child's lead.
• Partner with parents and caregivers — coaching, modeling strategies, and building practical home programs.
• Collaborate with in-house therapists and outside professionals to coordinate care.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
• Maintain a consistent caseload and schedule; contribute to a collaborative team culture.

Required Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy; active Illinois OT license.
• 2+ years pediatric experience preferred; new grads with strong pediatric fieldwork considered.
• Working knowledge of sensory processing and self-regulation frameworks.
• Strong communication skills; able to build trust with children, parents, and referring professionals.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced training in oral motor/feeding, infant motor development and oral adhesions, reflex integration, DIR/Floortime, or DMI — specialty bonus eligible.
• Illinois EI credential or willingness to obtain.
• Comfortable getting messy, being outside, and playing hard 

Benefits & Compensation

• $50–$64/hour part-time or $72,000–$92,000/year full-time, commensurate with experience.
• $1,500 part-time / $2,500 full-time specialty bonus for advanced training in the specialties above (half at 90 days, half at 6 months).
