The ideal candidate is a confident, adaptable clinician who can seamlessly integrate into a fast-paced L&D unit and provide exceptional care to patients throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum periods.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and assess fetal well-being using continuous electronic fetal monitoring (EFM); interpret and respond to fetal heart rate patternsManage patients in all stages of labor, including induction, augmentation, and spontaneous laborAssist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, including scrubbing and circulating in the ORAdminister oxytocin, magnesium sulfate, and other high-alert obstetric medications per protocolProvide care for high-risk obstetric patients including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, preterm labor, and IUFDPlace and manage epidural support, IV access, Foley catheters, and fetal scalp electrodesPerform newborn assessments and initiate immediate newborn stabilization as neededProvide patient and family education on labor progression, pain management options, breastfeeding, and postpartum careCollaborate with OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia, NICU, and ancillary staffAccurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMRAdhere to hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, and AWHONN guidelinesRequired QualificationsActive, unencumbered RN license (compact license or state-specific licensure as required)Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (within the last 3 years)Current BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications — required at startProficiency with electronic fetal monitoring; AWHONN EFM certification preferredAbility to scrub and circulate for cesarean sections preferredExperience with high-risk obstetric populationsPreferred QualificationsRNC-OB (Inpatient Obstetric Nursing) certificationACLS certificationExperience with triage and antepartum careTravel nursing experience or demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new environmentsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive weekly pay with taxable and non-taxable stipend breakdown (travel RN rate)Housing stipend or agency-provided housingTravel reimbursementMedical, dental, and vision benefits available24/7 recruiter and clinical support
