Inventory Control Coordinator

Review all new orders and create a bill of material (commit inventory) for all LM actuators. Responsible for all aspects of inventory control which includes purchasing inventory stock and establishing and maintaining sufficient inventory levels. Goal is to ensure that all business operations have adequate material to achieve their objectives. Conducts yearly physical inventory verification.

Responsibilities:

• Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
• Inspect the levels of components and raw material to identify shortages
• Ensure material stock is adequate for all production department needs based on customer orders and forecast
• Analyze data to anticipate future needs
• Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
• Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory
• Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
• Request for quotations and negotiate price for items to be ordered
• Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
• Report to production manager on stock levels, issues etc.
• Verify received inventory to specification and quality standards
• Fulfil all parts orders
• Make sure CRM system has all relevant information related to ongoing orders

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as inventory coordinator or similar position
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP)
• Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
• An analytical mind with strong math skills
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Reliable and trustworthy
• BSc/BA in business administration, logistics or relevant field
