ICU Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced Intensive Care Unit environment.Position DetailsUnit Type: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)Number of Beds: 33 beds, with an average daily census of 16Nurse-Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 for adult patientsCommon Diagnoses/Types of Patients: Trauma, cardiac issues, overdose/substance abuse, adult sepsis, post-stent patients, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory distressCertifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSSShifts: 12-hour shifts (Days and Nights)ResponsibilitiesProvide critical care to patients in the ICU, including titration of intravenous drips such as cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation.Monitor and document patient responses to treatments, including the use of medical equipment like ventilators and other respiratory therapies.Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.Participate in patient education and communication with families regarding care and treatment options.Adhere to hospital policies regarding appearance and patient safety, including compliance with the fingernail policy.Schedule and AvailabilityWeekend Requirements: Every other weekendHoliday Requirements: Minimum of 2 holidays during the contract periodUnit Specific Orientation: 1 shiftRequests for Time Off (RTO): Up to 7 days per 13-week contract will be consideredAdditional InformationThis position requires a valid driver's license for verification of location compliance. The RN should expect periodic floating to other units, such as PCU and MedSurg, maintaining the same patient care ratios.
