The technologist will prepare patients, operate CT imaging equipment, administer procedures as directed by the radiologist, and use independent judgment to obtain accurate diagnostic results while maintaining patient safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and specialized CT imaging procedures according to department standards. Prepare patients for examinations and obtain/document accurate pre- and post-procedure information. Operate CT scanners, workstations, printers, and related hardware/software. Adapt imaging procedures based on patient condition or radiologist direction. Assist with invasive CT procedures, including sterile tray setup, catheters, guidewires, and radiologist assistance. Monitor patients throughout procedures and maintain a safe environment. Recognize and appropriately respond to contrast reactions and other patient concerns. Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and report equipment issues appropriately. Maintain accurate documentation in the HIS STAR Radiology system , including exam data, contrast reactions, repeat images, and exam start/stop times. Maintain clean, stocked, and organized CT work areas. Assist with patient transportation and patient flow to promote efficient department operations. Follow patient safety, QA/QC/QI, and applicable regulatory standards. Demonstrate proper patient handling and use of lift equipment. Provide guidance and training to fellow technologists and students as needed. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, teamwork, and excellent patient/customer service.
