Experienced Infant/Toddler Room Teacher

Job Description

Are you looking for a few hours of work each day in a fun and family oriented atmosphere? We are seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Childcare Teacher. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 6:30AM-4:30PM. This individual could work with children from the ages of 6 weeks to 2 years.

Education Requirements:

30+ credit hours, 6 in Early Childhood

Qualifications:

Must Meet all Requirements of DCFS 407 regulations
Previous experience in childcare, a must with infants and toddlers
Multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Passionate about working with children
Positive and patient demeanor
DCFS Director Qualification preferred, please reach out to discuss education qualifications/requirements

Responsibilities:

Instruct children in age appropriate activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
Create a fun and safe learning environment
Follow schedules and routines set forth by Parents and the Center to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
Maintain the health and safety of all students
Ability to lift 40 pounds
Float throughout our building and childcare classrooms 6 weeks-5 years old as needed from guidance of the Directors

Prairie Pals Christian Preschool & Childcare is under the umbrella of a non-profit organization, Oswego Christian Foundation. Our philosophy is to provide an academic, social and spiritual environment with a program that will help children develop physically, emotionally, and cognitively. Our Preschool and Childcare provide an atmosphere that is conducive to children's learning while building their faith and self-esteem.
