We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our service and production operations in Krugerville, Texas, while providing operational oversight and support to our Lubbock location. Position Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of production and service operations, including workflow management, labor utilization, KPI performance, customer satisfaction, employee development, and financial results.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in production operations management, manufacturing operations, fleet maintenance, dealership operations, transportation services, or industrial service environments and possesses the leadership skills necessary to build high-performing teams and scalable processes.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations Leadership

• Lead day-to-day production and service operations to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable performance.
• Drive operational excellence through process improvement, workflow optimization, and performance management.
• Monitor and improve key operational metrics, including: 

o Productivity

o Efficiency

o Revenue

o Gross Profit

o Work-in-Progress (WIP)

o Labor Utilization

o On-Time Delivery

• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
• Manage production schedules, shop capacity, resource allocation, and labor planning.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, throughput, and customer satisfaction.
• Partner with Sales, Parts, and Service teams to maximize operational performance and customer outcomes.

Financial & Business Performance

• Ensure achievement of monthly and annual production, revenue, and profitability goals.
• Review operational performance data and develop action plans to improve results.
• Manage departmental expenses and labor costs while maintaining high-quality service standards.
• Identify opportunities for business growth and operational improvements.

Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop employees.
• Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development.
• Lead regular operational meetings, safety meetings, and team communications.
• Foster employee engagement and professional growth across the organization.

Customer & Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and business partners.
• Conduct customer visits and identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships.
• Ensure customer expectations are met regarding quality, communication, and turnaround times.
• Support resolution of escalated customer concerns.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of Operations Management experience in one or more of the following: 

o Manufacturing

o Production Operations

o Fleet Maintenance

o Transportation

o Heavy Equipment

o Truck or Bus Service Operations

o Automotive or Commercial Dealership Operations

• Minimum 5 years leading production, service, or shop operations with direct responsibility for performance metrics and workforce leadership.
• Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Demonstrated success managing KPIs, workflow, production schedules, labor performance, and profitability.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Heavy truck, bus, fleet, automotive, or equipment dealership experience.
• Experience managing teams of 20+ employees.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
• Experience with NetSuite or other ERP/DMS systems.
• School bus, transit bus, or commercial fleet experience.
• Technical background in diesel, automotive, heavy equipment, or transportation maintenance.
