Job Overview Job Type: Faculty Location: Joplin, Missouri Salary: $25,000 Signing Bonus plus Relocation Assistance Responsibilities Provide didactic and clinical education of pre‑doctoral dental students in the simulation laboratory, group practice, and community settings. Provide comprehensive general dental care when required in the Oral Health Center. Serve as a faculty member overseeing the provision of dental care performed by students. Serve as academic coaches and role models for students, delivering compassionate, ethical, and evidence‑based patient care. Contribute to a humanistic learning environment and help develop and grow a new dental school. Demonstrate a passion for dentistry and a strong desire to teach in a demanding, fast‑paced academic setting. Qualifications D.D.S./D.M.D. degree or equivalent. Currently licensed in Missouri or holding an active dental license in a U.S. state or Canada, and eligible for licensure in Missouri or evidence of eligibility for an unrestricted Missouri dental license or faculty license. Experience in didactic and clinical instruction of general dentistry to pre‑doctoral students within a simulation laboratory or group practice. Preference given to candidates with prior teaching experience and advanced training in general or restorative dentistry. Passion for dentistry, enthusiasm for dental education, and a strong desire to teach in a startup academic environment. Commitment to improving oral and overall health of patients in the region through collaboration with other primary care professionals.
