Pipe/Mechanical Trades II - HVAC

Colorado State University Pueblo is seeking applications for a Pipe/Mechanical Trades II - HVAC. This position maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and evaluates campus HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, and building automation systems to ensure safe, efficient, and code-compliant operation. The role also supports related facilities maintenance functions, including coordination with other trades and campus snow and inclement weather operations.

Duties:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair & install HVAC equipment/refrigeration equipment
• Maintain and repair pumps and valves
• BAS - Building automation systems
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Journeyman's License (HVAC)
• Three (3) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position
• OR
• Education and Experience: A combination of related education, formalized apprenticeship program, and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to three (3) years

Salary Range: $58,872 to $68,148

Due to budget constraints, we have a constricted wage range for this position. We are only able to accept applications from persons with eight years of service or less in the Pipe/Mech series. Individuals with related experience outside of the series are also encouraged to apply.
