Yard Coordinator

Overview As a Chick-fil-A Supply Yard Coordinator, you will move tractors, trailers, and straight trucks in a safe, accurate, and timely manner at distribution center yards. You are a safe, professional driver who follows all company policies and laws and regulations regarding commercial drivers. Location 1225 W Wintergreen Rd, Hutchins, TX Schedule The schedule will be assigned according to business needs, and flexibility is needed during weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts. Responsibilities In addition to making safe, accurate, and timely yard movements, the yard coordinator will: Ensure that all transportation assets are located in the proper places on the yard at the appropriate times and assist in yard audits On occasion support asset fueling at our on-site fuel location On occasion support asset washing at our on-site wash bay Move both 3rd Party Carrier trailers and assets from Chick-fil-A Supply’s private fleet Comply with all regulatory and company policy requirements: Operating within hours of service limits per the use of an electronic logging device (ELD) Maintain an acceptable Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) record Follow all pre- and post-trip equipment inspection and DVIR reporting procedures Following all policies and procedures in the FSMA regarding safe food transport Immediately notifying team leaders of any accident or on the job injury and complete reports Wearing appropriate personal protective gear as required per policy Abide by yard safety procedures, speed limits, parking, pedestrian crossings, safety vests Attend scheduled safety and job training sessions Report defects, accidents or violations Other duties as may be assigned Required Business Qualifications Manage time off to ensure proper rest and operate in compliance with DOT regulations Maintain a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed Prepare for shifts to rotate Attend shift in proper attire and with PPE and safety equipment as required by company guidelines Work in a multi-temperature environment including freezer temperatures Communicate effectively with stakeholders including Distribution Center staff Adapt to change and respond to difficult and challenging situations in a professional manner Manage pressure and conflicting demands; prioritize tasks and workload Able to travel 5% for supplier visits and/or stranded tractor/trailer movements due to Hours of Service constraints on delivery drivers Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) High School or equivalent (GED) Minimum 21 years of age Occasionally lift up to 55 pounds, and/or move pallets/carts with mechanical assistance up to 2,000 pounds Perform work in all weather conditions Have and maintain an acceptable CDL A and MVR in compliance with DOT requirements Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) Prior experience as a yard jockey or coordinating a transportation yard Required Years of Experience 1 Travel Requirements 5% Required Level of Education High School Diploma or GED Relocation Assistance Provided No #J-18808-Ljbffr Bay Center Foods, LLC
