Implementation Engineer

A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Implementation Engineer to support device installations across FAA facilities as part of the FAA Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) Program. This position supports post-site survey validation, engineering documentation review, installation oversight, and technical verification activities. The Implementation Engineer ensures each site is install‑ready, technically compliant, and properly documented prior to and during installation. The position requires close coordination among Program Management, Engineering Services, Technical Operations, vendors, and site personnel to ensure compliance with FAA standards and safe continuity of air traffic operations. Responsibilities Engineering Design & Technical Review Review equipment placement, telecommunications services, radio interfaces, legal recording connections, and workstation configurations. Assist in position mapping and integration planning. Confirm configuration compliance with VoIP‑based VCS architecture. Document discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. Post‑Site Survey & Field Execution Support Validate Vendor Site Survey Worksheets (SSWs), Site Survey Reports (SSRs), and Site Installation Plans (SIPs) for accuracy and completeness. Coordinate with FAA Program Office Facilities KP, Engineering Services, Technical Operations, Air Traffic, and vendors. Identify site remediation requirements and track actions to install‑ready status. Ensure technical data aligns with approved system architecture and FAA standards. Installation Oversight & Execution Support Provide on‑site technical oversight during installation. Verify power, grounding, and network readiness. Support technical cutover activities. Ensure installations meet FAA compliance and documentation requirements. Reporting & Documentation Provide timely inputs to site execution reports, installation oversight records, and disposition documentation. Support preparation of deliverables requiring technical verification entries, installation coordination records, and final disposition completion documentation. Skills Required Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Telecommunications, or a related discipline (or equivalent military or field experience). Minimum 10 years of progressive experience as an electronics technician supporting complex communications, radar, or mission‑critical systems. Demonstrated experience performing power, cabling, and interconnect verification in operational environments. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation plans. Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail in safety‑critical environments. Proficiency using test equipment (e.g., multimeters, cable testers, continuity testers). U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Skills Preferred Prior experience supporting FAA, DoD, or other Federal aviation or critical infrastructure programs. Familiarity with Voice Communication Systems (VCS), VoIP‑based communications, or air traffic control support systems. Experience supporting system cutovers, decommissioning, or legacy system disposition activities. OSHA safety training or equivalent field safety certifications. Work Environment & Travel Work is primarily performed on‑site at FAA facilities across the NAS, with additional work at contractor or integrator facilities as required. Position requires frequent nationwide travel to FAA sites in support of surveys, remediation, installation readiness, and disposition execution. Additionally, U.S. Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. is required. Candidates will undergo a government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for government clearance. Verification of past employment, education, and references is also required. Candidates must be either a U.S. citizen or a current green card holder with the last three consecutive years as a U.S. resident. The salary range for positions is $50,000 to $175,000. This range is provided as a general guideline and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of compensation. Actual salary offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Compensation may be influenced by applicable Federal Government contract labor categories and established contract wage rates.
