Legal Counsel

To support a growing regulatory team, the full-time California Licensed Lending Counsel will provide legal and regulatory advice on consumer and commercial lending, navigate complex bank partnership issues, and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders while working onsite in the San Francisco Bay Area. Key responsibilities Provide legal and regulatory advice on lending regulations, including Reg Z, Reg B, and state licensing requirements Lead resolution of complex regulatory and bank partnership issues, assessing risks and providing actionable guidance Summarize and analyze the impact of new regulations, offering strategic input on emerging consumer financial products Required qualifications 8+ years of experience in a law firm, financial services regulatory agency, or in-house with lending advisory experience Substantive experience with lending and bank partnership issues Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex legal and regulatory issues to resolution Experience engaging directly with senior stakeholders across legal, compliance, and business teams JD and active membership in good standing with the Bar of resident state and/or the California Bar or New York Bar
