Food Service Aide (FT)

Position Summary Assists with preparation and service of food using proper food handling and food safety techniques for patients, employees, and special events, resulting in foods that taste good, are served at the proper temperature, and are presented in an attractive manner in accordance with established standards. Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with established standards. Responsibilities Assists with the preparation and service of food according to safety and quality standards. Takes out the trash. Ensures the availability of clean dishes, utensils, and glassware. Delivers food to patient floors, restocks items, cleans appliances and machines. Swipes and mops floors. Documents temperature readings of the dish machine during each shift. Pay Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Qualifications Experience as a Prep Cook or Cook preferred, but not required. Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail. Food safety certifications as required by jurisdiction (e.g., ServSafe). Work alongside cooking staff to prep for daily meal service. Desired Qualifications Experience in healthcare foodservice desired. Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, time‑management, and prioritization skills. Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills. Detail‑oriented, able to meet strict timeframes.
