Senior Project Manager (PMP) – Director – Enterprise Project Management Position Summary: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for driving the successful delivery of complex, high-impact initiatives by blending traditional project management discipline with Agile delivery leadership. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, budget, within scope, and with high quality while fostering a collaborative, adaptive, and outcome‑driven Agile environment. Responsibilities Develop, manage and oversee comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, dependencies, resources and deliverables. Lead stakeholder relationships by communicating effectively, managing expectations, addressing concerns and providing project updates to ensure alignment. Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, developing contingency plans to minimize disruptions. Allocate resources effectively, monitoring utilization and adjusting to optimize performance. Manage project financials, monitor expenses, and collaborate with finance to track expenditures and make informed decisions. Maintain a focus on quality assurance, implementing best‑practice quality control processes and reviewing deliverables. Facilitate clear and timely communication among team members and stakeholders, preparing status reports and executive presentations. Effectively manage changes in scope, budget, timelines or objectives, evaluating impacts and communicating adjustments. Lead Agile ceremonies (daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and coach team members on Agile principles and Scrum practices. Assist Agile teams in preparing for Program Increment (PI) Planning by facilitating pre‑PI readiness activities, backlog refinement, dependency identification, capacity planning and risk assessment. Drive Enterprise initiatives by breaking down large‑scale projects into smaller, manageable increments to accelerate delivery and respond to market demands. Improve customer experience by encouraging frequent customer feedback and engagement throughout the development process. Navigate regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring Agile practices align with industry standards and regulations. Promote cross‑functional collaboration to enhance product development and innovation. Emphasize iterative development to create value more frequently and respond quickly to changing market conditions. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent mix of education and work experience. Certifications: PMP Certification required; Agile Project Management certification (e.g., SSM, SAFe Scrum Master) preferred. Experience: Minimum eight years of progressive project management experience across diverse project types; experience in the Financial Industry preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes through effective leadership and project execution. Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity, anticipating bottlenecks and proactively resolving them. Strong understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycles, and cloud technologies. Experience leading larger teams on multiple complex projects. Excellent project management software skills (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, JIRA). Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and operate in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
