Payroll Supervisor Atlanta, GA JOB SUMMARY: The Payroll Services Supervisor is a leadership role that provides direction and oversight to a sub-team within the department as part of achieving the organization’s broader goals. This position is responsible for ensuring that the team maintains a collaborative and cohesive work environment while meeting compliance requirements and adhering to payroll processing deadlines. Key supervision responsibilities include time review and approval, managing the day-to-day work distribution among the team and evaluating performance of the team members. The Supervisor serves as a subject matter expert for the department, providing guidance and support on payroll-related processes and issues. This role is expected to promote a continuous improvement mindset, helping identify opportunities to enhance processes, efficiency, and team effectiveness. The position also contributes strategic direction and leadership to support departmental objectives and long-term success. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Experience and Education Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Communications, Information Systems, Accounting, Human Resources or related field Minimum of 2-3 years work experience in payroll, customer service, absence management, accounting or human resources strongly required Minimum 3-5 years in a lead position with supervisory responsibilities required Minimum 2-3 years Peoplesoft/Oracle HCM strongly desired Experience with interpreting company policies and applying Labor laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of payroll, timekeeping, and HR systems - as well as vendor systems and interfaces Ability to work under time constraints and handle multiple tasks, processes and projects timely and accurately Proficiency required in desktop applications including Microsoft Office and TEAMS Cross-functional collaboration with business partners for process improvements and efficiencies Must possess exceptional customer service skills along with the ability to anticipate problems or concerns, and demonstrate a strong track record of effectively resolving complex problems and responding in a timely manner Must be analytical, detail oriented, process driven, and comfortable with a highly structured team environment Behavioral Attributes Models Our Values of Safety First, Intentional Inclusion, Act with Integrity and Superior Performance.
