Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2110 per week.

Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Must have NICU experience.

Required Credentials: STABLE and NRP are required only for NICU or travelers handling babies.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. If previously employed at the facility, any exception must be approved by St. Luke’s Health System. Block scheduling available.

Unit Details: Uses Epic. Up to 30 treatments per shift depending on the season; assignments are divided by floor, so workload may vary. Covers inpatient and ER areas. Cares for NICU to geriatric patients across ICU, stepdown, med-surg, a small pediatrics unit, and a level III NICU; no PICU, with vents once in a while. Performs ABGs draw and analysis, breathing treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, vent management, and bedside bronchoscopy assistance; assists with intubation and may place an LMA. Does not perform EKGs. Uses Drager vents, Cervo-NICU, Hamilton transport vent, vapotherm, and Philips V60 and V30. A team lead or charge therapist is always on shift; the traveler may serve as charge depending on experience and willingness. The traveler will not be the only RT in-house.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Works holidays if needed. Self scheduling.

Floating Requirements: First to float to ICU, floors, NICU, and ER.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway. Blood Pressure, Lab work and Emotional Support)
