Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Pay : $38.05/hr
Shift : First Shift
Location : Chicago, IL 60617
Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic for our maritime client to start immediately at $38.05/hr. Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair heavy mobile equipment (forklifts, cranes, loaders)
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections
- Repair components including engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Support shop and field repairs to meet operational needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training preferred
- Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and transmission systems
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Personal tools required to perform job duties
Skills
- Component repair and replacement (major assemblies)
- Reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic diagnostics
- Use of diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools
- Shop equipment operation (e.g., cranes, welders, heavy-duty hand tools)
