Business Systems Analyst II

Role Overview
We are seeking a high-level Lead Business Systems Analyst to serve as the critical bridge between business operations and technical development groups. This role is responsible for defining complex information systems solutions for large-scale, cross-functional initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in systems analysis and a mastery of Healthcare Insurance lifecycles, specifically regarding claims processing and benefit configuration.

Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Consultation: Partner with leadership to identify business opportunities and recommend technical solutions that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve member services.
• Systems Analysis & Design: Define complex, multi-platform system solutions. Lead requirements development, ensuring all specifications are traceable, feasible, and captured in clear, unambiguous language.
• Domain Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge of Claims Processing, Provider data, Billing, and Benefit Configuration to assess the impact of changes across broad functional boundaries.
• Technical Leadership: Instruct and validate the work of other analysts. May serve as Project or Technical Lead for medium-to-large efforts, coordinating work assignments and verifying results.
• Change & Risk Management: Manage evolving requirements by communicating impacts to project sponsors and alerting teams to potential risks or implementation blockers.
• Lifecycle Collaboration: Work closely with SQA and development teams to ensure final project deliverables fully satisfy the original business requirements and quality attributes.
• Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve requirements gathering, documentation standards, and application development methodologies.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. (Master's Degree preferred).
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Information Technology and systems analysis, with a proven track record of leading requirements development efforts.
• Industry Knowledge: Mandatory experience in the Healthcare Insurance industry. Candidates must demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of:
• Claims Processing & Adjudication
• Provider & Billing Systems
• Benefit Configuration processes
• Technical Mastery: Expert knowledge of IT concepts, application development methodologies, and the ability to translate complex technical jargon into meaningful business insights.
• Communication: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skills. Must be able to lead discussions in both technical and non-technical forums.
