Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform routine respiratory therapies to diagnose, treat, and evaluate patients' cardiopulmonary status.
  
  
• 
  Document emergency rounds, oxygen saturation checks, and titrate oxygen as per protocol.
  
  
• 
  Initiate, monitor, evaluate, and wean invasive and non-invasive ventilation support.
  
  
• 
  Assess patients clinically before and after treatments, recommending therapy adjustments as necessary.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families on therapies, medications, and equipment while ensuring safety and compliance.
  
  
• 
  Maintain equipment, troubleshoot mechanical ventilators, and ensure proper disinfection and stocking of supplies.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program with valid education verification.
  
  
• 
  Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Wisconsin.
  
  
• 
  Certified as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by The National Board for Respiratory Care.
  
  
• 
  Hold current AHA Provider Level BLS certification.
  
  
• 
  Obtain Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in ventilator management, emergency response, and patient assessments.
