Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) youll help ensure accurate financial reporting efficient accounting operations and responsible financial management across the organization.

What You Will Do

• Oversee daily accounting operations maintain accurate financial records and coordinate month-end closing processes

• Support financial reporting account reconciliations budget preparation and financial analysis

• Provide oversight of accounts payable resident billing cash receipts and accounts receivable functions

• Maintain accurate financial records related to resident accounts entrance fees deposits and fixed assets

• Serve as a support resource and backup for payroll processing collaborating with Human Resources to ensure accurate and timely payroll operations

• Assist with annual audits regulatory reporting and financial compliance requirements

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures strengthen internal controls and enhance operational efficiency

• Collaborate with Finance team members and departmental leadership to support organizational goals and effective financial operations

What You Bring

• Bachelors degree in Accounting required

• Minimum of three years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting financial reporting account reconciliations and month-end closing processes

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills and accounting software

• Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments

• Ability to manage competing priorities meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality

• A commitment to accuracy accountability professionalism and continuous improvement

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred

• Experience in nonprofit accounting senior living or healthcare preferred

• Familiarity with continuing care retirement community (CCRC) accounting practices is a plus
