Paramedic Emergency Department Nights

Osborn Medical Center – 7400 E Osborn Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85251 Shift: Night Department: Emergency Department $2500 Sign‑On Bonus, Coverage 1900 – 0730 Job Summary The Paramedic Technician functions semi‑independently, under the direction of the Physician, RN, and/or PA‑C, as part of the integrated healthcare team. Responsible for providing comprehensive quality patient care in an accurate and timely manner according to established patient standards and practice. Knowledge and necessary skills will be used to effectively meet the needs of patients of all age groups and developmental levels. Essential Functions Provide and collaborate for direct patient care services under licensed caregiver supervision. Perform personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation. Initiate peripheral intravenous lines, phlebotomy, eye irrigation, urinary catheterization. Implement selected portions of the patient care plan under supervision. Administer medications in accordance with approved medication list and licensed supervision. Assist with patient transport, maintain a safe environment by cleaning equipment, stocking supplies, and turning over rooms as required. Assist, observe, and report changes in patient condition to licensed caregiver and maintain accurate medical record documentation. Reinforce patient education under the direction of licensed personnel and address questions from patients, families, caregivers, or healthcare team members. After training, answer patch phone under licensed caregiver direction. Perform other duties as assigned. Education High School Diploma or GED (Required). Experience Graduate of an EMT‑P training course approved under Arizona 9 A.A.C. 25, Articles 2, 4, and 5 (Required). One year of experience, or Associate Degree, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in pre‑hospital/emergency medical service (Preferred). License and Certifications Certified Paramedic – certification required (ADHS Paramedic Certification or Arizona State Certified). Basic Life Support (BLS) – required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required, 180 days.
