Construction Estimator – Drive Commercial Project Bidding Job Overview Company: Planet Construction J2911 LLC Salary/Pay Rate: $95,000 to $150,000 per year plus Project Completion Bonus (W-2) Location: Crowley, LA- Office in Lake Charles, LA (Onsite, No Travel Required) Job/Employment Type: Full Time Project Scope: Commercial General Construction Mandatory Licences & Certifications: None Required The Opportunity You will serve as a vital specialist in the Office & Admin division, evaluating complex commercial project frameworks. This role gives you the autonomy to analyze expenditures and secure profitable bids while collaborating with a supportive pre-construction team. You will drive project success within an organization that genuinely treats you like family. How You Will Make an Impact Analyze architectural drawings and project specifications to compile accurate material takeoffs. Calculate total projected costs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracts. Solicit and evaluate competitive vendor quotes to ensure optimal project cost-control. Collaborate closely with project managers and field operations to align estimates with actual construction capabilities. Prepare comprehensive, highly detailed bid proposals for commercial construction opportunities. Review historical cost data to continuously refine and improve estimating accuracy. Required Qualifications & Experience Proven track record delivering precise cost estimates within the commercial general construction sector. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills necessary for negotiating with vendors and working with internal teams. Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, maintain rigorous organization, and meet strict bid deadlines. Advanced proficiency in interpreting blue prints, structural engineering files, and contractual bid documents. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 5 years of related commercial construction estimating experience.
