Rather than assuming individuals with development or intellectual disabilities are not qualified to work, Supported Employment services provide these individuals with the opportunity to obtain and maintain meaningful employment that supports their life goals. As an integral part of the overall supported employment team, you will collaborate with other Community Integration Professionals, Direct Support Professionals, Programmers, Supervisors, individuals-served, and their families to ensure the best possible care for those you serve. You will creatively strategize ways for an individual to find employment that suits their skills, abilities, and goals. Your innovative and impactful solutions and strategies will make the difference for those you serve. In this role, you'll be responsible to:

• Person-Centered Employment & Skill Development: Provide direct support based on individual goals by teaching skills, encouraging independence, supporting behavioral strategies, and promoting employment-related learning, interests, and community integration.
• Advocacy, Choice & Safety: Advocate for individual self-determination by encouraging choice and decision-making while ensuring safety is maintained using the least restrictive methods possible.
• Documentation & Compliance: Complete accurate, timely, and Iowa Code-compliant documentation in Setworks, including all required service details, interventions, responses, and incident/behavior reports in accordance with agency standards.
• Vocational & Community Employment Support: Support individuals in job development and retention, including applications, interviews, coaching, employer communication, transportation to job sites, and collaboration with schools, IEP teams, and community partners.
• Program Participation & Professional Responsibilities: Participate in cross-training, vocational program decisions, community integration activities, equipment safety, medication administration (as applicable), compliance with all regulations (OSHA, DHS, CARF, HCBS), and maintain flexibility for scheduling, weekends, and additional duties.
