The Staff Pad is hiring Registered Nurses for a high-acuity Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in Wausau, WI—perfect for nurses who want to expand their skillset beyond med-surg and move toward critical care . Pay: $36 – $51/hour (based on experience) Work with a diverse patient population including neuro, trauma, post-surgical, and complex medical cases , gaining hands-on experience with advanced interventions in a supportive, team-driven environment. Why This Role Stands Out Step into higher-acuity care (ICU-adjacent experience) Exposure to neuro, trauma, and post-op patients in one unit Strong training and onboarding support (great for newer RNs) Opportunities to grow into specialty skills and leadership roles What You’ll Do Deliver hands-on, patient-centered care for complex cases Work closely with CNAs and interdisciplinary teams Build advanced clinical skills across multiple specialties Schedule 12-hour shifts (days or nights) Requirements RN license (WI or compact eligible) BLS required Open to new grads and experienced RNs .
