We are seeking a Metal Shop Supervisor to oversee daily production operations and support a safe, productive, and quality-focused manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating workflow, monitoring production goals, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring customer orders are completed on time.

• Oversee daily production activities and support on-time completion of work.
• Coordinate workflow and prioritize jobs to meet production needs.
• Monitor productivity, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Promote safe work practices and compliance with company procedures.
• Resolve production issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain inventory of materials and production supplies.
• Train and support employees on equipment, quality, and safety procedures.
• Maintain production records and documentation.
• Review work orders, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Shipping, and Purchasing teams.
• Support scheduling and resource allocation.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of experience leading, coordinating, or supervising production teams.
• Experience with production scheduling, workflow coordination, and quality processes.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety and quality practices.

• Experience in metal fabrication, metal finishing, coatings, galvanizing, or related manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, 5S, or continuous improvement practices.
• Experience using ERP systems or production tracking software.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

• Manufacturing production environment.
• Frequent movement throughout the production floor.
• Regular exposure to machinery, equipment, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) required in designated areas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburg, CA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
