Business Systems Analyst

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong healthcare and Third-Party Administration (TPA) domain experience and hands-on expertise with MicroStrategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare business processes, particularly TPA operations, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective reporting and analytics solutions. Experience working with legacy BI/reporting environments and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from healthcare and TPA stakeholders.
Work closely with business users, product owners, project managers, developers, and data teams to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
Leverage MicroStrategy to support enterprise reporting, dashboards, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
Analyze existing reports and identify opportunities for enhancement, modernization, and migration.
Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
Work with technical teams to define data, reporting, and dashboard requirements.
Validate data and reporting outputs against business requirements.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, test cases, issue tracking, and resolution.
Analyze healthcare data and business processes related to Third-Party Administration (TPA).
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand claims, eligibility, benefits, provider, member, and related healthcare data requirements.
Document current-state and future-state business processes.
Assist with troubleshooting reporting and data-related issues.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide status updates to project leadership.
Coordinate with offshore and onshore development and data teams as required.

Required Qualifications

5-7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst.
Strong healthcare domain experience.
Hands-on experience with Third-Party Administration (TPA) processes and systems.
Strong hands-on MicroStrategy experience is required.
Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
Experience working with BI, reporting, and analytics platforms.
Experience creating functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and data requirements.
Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect management.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Power BI.
Experience with SSRS.
Experience supporting legacy reporting environments.
Knowledge of healthcare claims, eligibility, benefits, membership, and provider data.
Experience with BI/reporting modernization or migration initiatives.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience working with distributed onshore/offshore teams.
