Registered Nurse (RN) | Long Term Care

$32.5 - $48.5 per hour

Location: Avera Majestic Bluffs / Avera Sister James Care Center Worker Type: Regular Shift: Day Shift (United States of America) Pay Range: $32.50 - $48.50 per hour Position Highlights Hours: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM; every 3rd weekend/holiday 72 hours per 2 weeks (48 hours a week, double-shifts on a 2-week cycle) Student Loan Repayment May be eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program: up to $10,000 extra payment per month ($167) to help reduce principal balance. Brief Overview Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishing care objectives; defining interventions; and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, families, and friends including education about conditions, medications, and self-care. Responsibilities Provide resident care based on physician prescriptions and nursing care plans. Coordinate with physicians, nursing assistants, and other health-care team members. Develop nursing care plans: obtain histories, examine residents, document status, and update plans as health status changes. Teach residents, families, and friends to manage medications and self-care skills. Evaluate care outcomes against standards, measuring health improvement. Maintain a safe environment: follow infection-control policies, medication administration protocols, and controlled-substance regulations. Maintain equipment, troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and order supplies. Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers to/from the facility. Lead and coordinate the workflow of nursing assistants and other nursing personnel. Continuously develop nursing skills as directed by leadership. Qualifications Required: Registered Nurse (RN) with an active state license upon hire. Preferred: 1-3 years experience in clinical or long-term care settings.
