Schedule: 5x8.0 Shift Job Description The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for facilitating quality care for patients in accordance with established plans and objectives. The role emphasizes safety in patient handling and a commitment to high standards of patient and employee safety. Responsibilities Implement treatment goals and plans as established by the Physical Therapist. Assist in therapeutic interventions to meet long-term patient goals such as posture training, strength, endurance exercises, and pain relief. Train patients in the use of assistive devices and demonstrate proper techniques for locomotion. Apply modalities such as whirlpools, hot/cold packs, and ultrasound for patient treatment. Monitor patient responses and document progress in alignment with treatment objectives. Educate patients and families on body mechanics and proper usage of therapeutic equipment. Engage in team conferences and provide resources to other healthcare disciplines regarding therapy administered. Participate in special projects or initiatives designed to enhance patient care quality. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School. CAPTE Certification. 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience. CPR Certification. Active applicable license for the State where work will be performed. Why ARMStaffing?
