Senior Storage Administrator

Senior Storage Administrator Omega Enterprise Solutions is a Maryland-based, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) focused on the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) mission. Description Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or five years of full-time computer science work to substitute for the degree. Demonstrate ten years of experience in system administration and support of a large client-server based IT enterprise. Optional industry-recognized professional certification may substitute for one year of experience. Experience includes installation, configuration, and networking of UNIX and/or NT-based platforms; creation, modification, and deletion of user accounts; system backups; and maintenance of system configuration files. Understanding of operating systems at the user level, familiarity with UNIX or NT commands or utilities. Installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems, and commercial software packages. Ability to develop and implement enterprise backup/recovery strategies, server configuration and consolidation, and verification of the health and status of the entire IT infrastructure. Support for enterprise services such as DNS, NFS, email services, security protection mechanisms, and interoperability of UNIX and NT-based systems. Responsibilities SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR IV for STORAGE in addition to the above qualifications, must have the following required skills and technologies: SGI IRIX based Operating System. SGI systems with direct attached and FC SAN attached storage. Network Appliance clustered servers with direct attached and FC SAN storage. Network Appliance and SGI IRIX supported applications. Multivendor clustered filesystems such as GPFS, Lustre. Brocade FC switch network. Enterprise class arrays. Solid State Disk (SSD). NFS/CIFS based server/storage appliance.
HPSE.
Data Domain and similar deduplication products. Cloud based storage solutions such as HADOOP, and IBM BigInsights. Trouble ticket management utilizing Remedy. IAT Level II Certification Required This Position requires an appropriate active Security Clearance and Polygraph.
