Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Aveanna Healthcare Compensation $17.13–$19/hr DOE Sign‑On Bonus $250 Essential Job Functions Perform, assist, evaluate and document medical care, including basic first aid, taking weight and vital signs, catheter and bowel care with I/O monitoring, range‑of‑motion exercises, ambulation, transfer and positioning with wheelchairs and other medical equipment, and preparing meals according to dietary needs. Care for patients’ special conditions and needs within the scope of authorized tasks. Provide hands‑on personal care and simple procedures as part of therapy or nursing services. Perform services ordered by the physician in the plan of care that the aide is permitted to do under state law. Assist patients in maintaining good personal hygiene, including bathing, toileting, grooming, shaving, skin and nail care, oral hygiene, dressing and eating. Maintain and complete all required documentation, such as patient/family records and company records after each visit. Observe and report significant changes in a patient’s condition to the RN Nursing Supervisor. Qualifications High school graduate or GED* Current, unrestricted certification or proof of training as required by the state. Current CPR certification. Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with aide care policies and procedures. Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR. Ongoing Education The Aide must receive at least 12 hours of in‑service training during each 12‑month period. Travel and lift up to 50 pounds. Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting. Sit and climb stairs. Visual and hearing acuity; strong sense of smell and touch. Reposition patients and move equipment without assistance. Respond physically and mentally to emergency situations. Environment Work in a variety of settings, potentially exposed to allergens and other conditions. Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases.
