Job Description

Job Summary:
The Cytotechnologist is responsible for preparing and analyzing cell samples to detect abnormalities and diagnose diseases. This role requires precise technical skills and adherence to clinical standards to support accurate pathology assessments.

Responsibilities:

• Perform microscopic examination and analysis of cytology specimens.
• Prepare and stain cell samples according to laboratory standards.
• Interpret abnormal or atypical cell results with a professional level of expertise.
• Maintain accurate documentation of findings and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety and quality protocols.
• Collaborate with pathology team to support diagnostic processes.

Qualifications:

• Possess certification as a cytotechnologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or the International Association of Cytotechnologists (IAC).
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in cytology.
• Demonstrate proficiency in analytical procedures requiring a high level of technical knowledge.
• Ability to interpret complex or abnormal cytology results accurately.
• Possess a valid GA or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
• Experience with Epic health record system is preferred.
