We are proud of our ability to attract and maintain talented, efficient, long term, community minded employees who can develop lasting relationships with producers and customers both domestic and around the world.Position DescriptionThe Millwright is primarily responsible for operating and maintaining multiple pieces of equipment, including bin gates, bucket elevators, distributors, drag belts/chains, bin sweeps, bulk weighers, Load out spouts, feeders, scalpers, conditioners, gravity tables, de-stoners, color sorters, and distribution systems. Millwright works collaboratively with the Operations Team to achieve operational goals while maintaining safety, quality, and production efficiency.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery, production equipment, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and rotating equipmentAlign motors, pumps, and gearboxes using precision measurement and alignment toolsDiagnose mechanical failures and equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiencyReplace and repair bearings, belts, shafts, and other mechanical components as neededPerform preventative and predictive maintenance and conduct routine inspections to ensure proper equipment operationRead, interpret, and apply information from blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to complete maintenance and repair activities accuratelyAssist with the installation, alignment, and startup of new machineryWork collaboratively with electricians and maintenance teams on equipment repairs and operational supportEnsure compliance with Lockout/Tagout procedures, OSHA standards, and all company safety policies and proceduresMaintain flexibility to work rotating days and nights, extended shifts, weekends, and holidays as production demands requirePerform other duties as assignedSkills, Knowledge, Education and ExperiencePreferred qualifications include 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, millwright work, or mechanical technician rolesKnowledge of industrial machinery installation, setup, and precision alignment practicesExperience performing preventative and predictive maintenance on industrial equipmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsWelding and fabrication experience preferred, including MIG, TIG, and/or Stick weldingExperience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systemsKnowledge of conveyor systems, gearboxes, rotating equipment, and related maintenance practicesExperience with bearing replacement, shaft alignment, and mechanical component repairAbility to safely perform rigging and equipment moving activitiesProficient in the use of precision measurement tools, including dial indicators, micrometers, and calipersKnowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures and OSHA safety standards applicable to industrial environmentsAbility to read, interpret, and apply safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and technical manualsStrong verbal and written communication skillsBasic computer proficiency and strong mechanical aptitudeDemonstrated commitment to safety, quality workmanship, teamwork, reliability, and consistent attendanceAbility and willingness to perform all assigned duties in a fast-paced team environmentPeriodic travel to various facilities as requiredPhysical Requirements necessary to perform this jobMust be able to move freely throughout the facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0-150’), walking on elevated platforms, carrying tools and equipment (0-50lbs), exposure to extreme temperatures (-30 to100 degrees Fahrenheit), humidity (0-100%), and noise (50db to 100bd).Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and move up to 100 lbs.Exposure to extreme climate temperatures, humidity and noise.Must be able to work in high places and confined spaces.Required to wear protective equipment to include hard hat, safety glasses, protective footwear, gloves, coveralls, and other PPE as required.Benefits OfferedComprehensive Health, Dental, and RX benefitsCompany paid Life Insurance and DisabilityFlexible Spending PlansEmployee Assistance Program401K Retirement savings planPaid Holidays, Vacation and Sick leaveSuccessful completion of initial and ongoing employment screens, including but not limited to criminal background and vehicle record as required.Columbia Grain is an Equal Opportunity Employer #J-18808-Ljbffr COLUMBIA GRAIN
