Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) - Per Diem

Hourly Pay Range $30.46 - $45.69 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights Position: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) - Per Diem Location: Swedish Hospital Full Time/Part Time: Per Diem Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, rotating weekends and holidays What you will do Performs high complexity and moderate complexity testing accurately and efficiently. Perform blood bank testing including ABO/Rh typing, antibody identification, and cross-matching. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of test results. Adhere to regulatory and accreditation standards (CAP, AABB, CLIA). Perform quality control and equipment maintenance. Assist in inventory management of blood products and reagents. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other laboratory staff to ensure timely transfusion support. Participate in continuing education and competency assessments. What you will need Education: Associate's Degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science Certification: Certification by ASCP (MLT or higher) preferred Experience: One year of working in Blood Bank preferred Unique or Preferred Skills Strong understanding of immunohematology principles. Ability to work independently and under pressure in emergency situations.
