Packaging Operator II

Job Description Position: Packaging Operator II Schedule: 1st Shift - Monday - Friday - 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (based on business needs and job completions which could include overtime both during the week and on weekends) Base Rate: $14.50/Hour Operates an automatic machine to package a variety of products according to customer specifications. Essential Job Functions * Visually inspects product for defects and transfers defective items to the appropriate location. Loads product into packaging machines, monitors machines for proper function. Unloads and visually inspects packaged product to ensure it meets quality standards. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste. Sets up/changes equipment for corresponding orders. Performs basic equipment maintenance including inspections, cleaning, lubing as needed. * This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Education & Experience High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Operational Equipment N/A Work Environment and Physical Demands Packaging - Hand: Fast-paced, standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required. May participate in HCP. Physical Demands Packaging - Hand: Light, lifting up to 50 lbs.
