Viola & Virsies Learning in Zanesville, OH is looking for a passionate and nurturing Lead Toddler Teacher to join their growing team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young learners during their most formative years. If you love creating joyful, engaging learning environments for little ones, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities for toddler-aged children
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and growth
- Monitor and document each child's developmental milestones and progress
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant classroom in accordance with state childcare regulations
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
- Previous experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass a background check as required by Ohio childcare licensing standards
- Strong communication, patience, and classroom management skills
- Warm, energetic, and team-oriented personality with a genuine love for working with young children
