Your Opportunity As a Senior Project Manager, Water, you will work on some of the most exciting and complex projects with a focus on Project Leadership, Business Development, and Seller/Do-er responsibilities. You will collaborate with senior leaders at Stantec. You will work with clients on great projects, with a talented team of professionals, while driving top-line growth. The Senior Project Manager, Water is the “seller/doer” responsible for leading the pursuit and delivery of excellent work to our clients. You lead the growth of the business and Stantec’s market position by leveraging technical skills, industry and market knowledge, and client and partner relationships to pursue and win work that transforms our business and inspires our people. You work closely with account managers, business developers, Sector Leaders (SLs) and project managers to identify and manage key accounts, pursue opportunities, and solicit feedback from clients on performance. You partner with the broader leadership team to lead and manage, inspire and engage, win and do work—building a culturally strong and high-performing business. Your Key Responsibilities Using knowledge of advanced engineering principles, design and oversee complex projects involving provision of potable water, disposal of wastewater and sewage, or prevention of flood-related damage. Lead and participate in pursuits and campaigns for major BC and Regional opportunities; engage directly in relationship development, positioning, win strategies and teaming. Develop and maintain relationships between the Company, strategic partners, and clients to expand business opportunities. Maintain strong client relationships and help identify "zipper" approaches with key clients. Manage one or more Key Client accounts. Drive project delivery and excellence. Oversee project delivery, QA/QC, discipline excellence and technical quality, documents quality and best practices in execution of work. Review contracts, fees and proposals with local and large pursuits, in partnership with our risk management team. Support marketing and business development professionals in positioning for potential projects, writing technical portions of proposals, participating in client interviews, and supporting negotiations for project contracts. Represent our projects in client meetings, cultivate relationships with client organizations, and lead project coordination meetings with internal and external partners. Mentor and lead junior professional and technical staff, providing technical guidance on projects. Investigate and advise on unusual and difficult problems in the water/wastewater engineering practice. Develop project scope, budgets, and design approach for projects. Assist and/or lead the development of proposals and contract negotiations. Contribute to the development of new standards and specifications for water/wastewater design. Engineer of record on own work product. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with an emphasis in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Minimum of 15 years of professional experience. Experience and expertise with the design of water/wastewater conveyance and/or treatment projects. Experience with the design of water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure. Professional Licensed Engineer in the State of Ohio. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
