Pay Range: $55,000-$65,000

Position Mission: As a Staff Accountant at Alvarado Restaurant Nation, your primary responsibility is assisting in the preparation and maintenance of the company's financial records by performing routine accounting tasks such as recording journal entries, bank reconciliations, and fulfilling the company's tax obligations. You will play a crucial role in the month-end closing process, account reconciliations, and continuous process improvement efforts.

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare and record journal entries in accordance with GAAP standards.
• Assist in ensuring a timely and precise month-end closing, within the company's established deadlines.
• Reconcile bank accounts.
• Complete balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Resolve issues related to account reconciliations and outstanding matters by collaborating with relevant stakeholders and escalating when necessary.
• Contribute to special projects as required.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred (or equivalent work experience.)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is preferred.
• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organization & prioritization skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Multi-unit restaurant or retail experience preferred, high-volume experience required.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
