DISHWASHER (FULL TIME)

DISHWASHER (full time) – VCU Health – 1250 East Marshall Street, Richmond, VA. Online applications only. Schedule: Full time, rotating weekends included. Requirement: 1 year previous dishwashing or cleaning experience highly preferred. Pay Range: $15.00–$15.25 per hour. Sign‑on bonus $500 distributed at 30 and 90 days. Weekend shift differential $1.00 per hour. Free parking. Job Summary Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine, ensuring thorough cleanliness and sanitation. Wash pots, pans and trays according to assigned procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation. Polish silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation. Ensure compliance with safety procedures. Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by standards. Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards. Sweep and mop kitchen floors to meet safety and sanitation standards. Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces. Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam clean or hose out garbage cans. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Help load and unload supplies and product. Perform other duties as assigned.
