Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Technical Lead Falls Church, VA Position: Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Technical Lead Location: Fall Church, VA Work Environment: Hybrid, 3 days onsite/week Clearance Required: Active Secret security clearance; US citizenship required Salary Range: $150,000 - $185,000 annually The Supply Chain Technical Lead is the senior pharmacist and supply chain expert for a Department of Defense (DoD) medical supply chain resilience program. The program identifies vulnerabilities, mitigates risks, and helps ensure the uninterrupted flow of critical medications to military health facilities and deployed forces. This position applies a clinical pharmacy perspective to supply chain risk management (SCRM), with a focus on active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) dependencies, finished dosage form (FDF) risk, counter-counterfeit measures, and interagency coordination. The Technical Lead works with DoD and federal interagency partners to translate national supply chain security priorities into actionable program strategy. The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Advise senior government leaders on medical supply chain vulnerabilities and on strategies to strengthen resilience and readiness Translate legislation, executive orders, and national strategy on secure supply chains into program goals, issue papers, and executive briefing materials Identify and map vulnerabilities in global API, key starting material (KSM), and FDF supply lines Monitor global drug shortage data and apply clinical pharmacy judgment to assess readiness impacts Develop and recommend risk mitigation strategies, such as strategic buffer stocks, alternate sourcing, and supplier diversification Assess vendor resilience, manufacturing redundancy, and supplier cybersecurity posture Identify opportunities to incentivize secure domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing Serve as technical liaison to federal interagency partners across health, logistics, and regulatory agencies Represent the program in joint and interagency pharmaceutical supply chain working groups Lead technical implementation of pharmaceutical track-and-trace capabilities that comply with federal regulatory requirements Define technical requirements for predictive analytics, logistics dashboards, and drug shortage early-warning systems Evaluate emerging technologies, such as distributed-ledger provenance and advanced manufacturing, for supply chain integration Apply predictive modeling to map sourcing and manufacturing dependencies and to forecast disruptions from geopolitical or environmental events Required Qualifications: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited program Minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in pharmaceutical or medical supply chain management, with at least three (3) years supporting DoD or federal health agencies Demonstrated expertise in SCRM, pharmaceutical sourcing, and drug shortage analysis Working knowledge of federal pharmaceutical regulatory processes and serialization and track-and-trace requirements Experience with federal interagency coordination and executive-level briefings Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief senior government stakeholders US citizenship and an active Secret security clearance Preferred Qualifications: Additional advanced degree, such as an MBA, MS in supply chain management, or MPH Certifications such as CSCP (APICS/ASCM), CPSM, or DAWIA Life Cycle Logistics Uniformed service as a military pharmacy officer (Army 67E, Navy MSC Pharmacy, Air Force 43P), or a federal medical logistics assignment (e.g., DLA Troop Support Medical, DHA MEDLOG, ASPR/SNS) Experience with military health, deployed medical logistics, or national stockpile programs Familiarity with predictive analytics platforms and supply chain illumination tools Benefits and Perks: Medical, Vision, and Dental Plans Paid Holiday and Personal Time Off 401K plan Short-term disability, Long-term, and Life Insurance Education and Training Assistance Program Incentive Plans and Referral Bonuses Employee Assistance Programs Kymber Consulting Group, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law #J-18808-Ljbffr Kymber Consulting Group
