About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of Emergency Department experience required License: Michigan Certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Emergency nursing experience Description: Coordinates total nursing care for patients. Participates in patient and family teaching. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Recognizes that each patient is a unique individual. Ensures mutual goal setting between the Registered Nurse and the patient. Assures patient rights and privacy are protected. Held accountable to the ethical and professional standards as defined in the ANA Code for Nurses. Accountable to the ANA Nursing's Social Policy Statement, and the State of Michigan Public Health code. Adheres to standards set by regulatory agencies such as the American Osteopathic Association and the Conditions of Participation of Healthcare Finance Administration. Recognizes individual competence in nursing practice. Accepts individual actions and judgments responsibly.
