Cardiology - Interventional Physician

We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for ongoing locum coverage in a hospital-based cardiology program. This opportunity includes 24-hour call coverage with inpatient and outpatient interventional cardiology responsibilities.

Assignment Details:

• Start: August 2026
• Ongoing coverage
• Vacation and rotational call coverage needs

Schedule:

• 24-hour on-call shifts
• Example shifts: 8:00 AM 8:00 AM
• Up to 40 hours/week every other month and for vacation coverage as needed

Practice Setting:

• Acute care hospital
• Interventional Cardiology department
• Academic and hospital-based environment
• Outpatient clinic + inpatient coverage
• Telemedicine available
• EMR: Epic

Patient Population:

• Adults and geriatrics ()

Work Details:

• Approximately 18 patients/day
• Inpatient and outpatient interventional cardiology coverage

Procedures / Skills Required:

• Right & Left Heart Caths
• PCI
• Balloon Angioplasty
• Balloon Pump
• IVUS

Support Staff:

• Dedicated outpatient clinical team
• Inpatient APP support
• Cath lab staff

Requirements:

• Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist
• Active state license required
• DEA required
• ACLS & BLS certifications required

Credentialing:

• Approximately 90 days
• Temporary privileges available for clean file
