Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CST

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with multi-specialty OR experience for a travel contract at an acute care hospital in California.

Job Details

• Acute care hospital setting with a 130-bed facility designated as a Level II Trauma Center,
• OR Tech/Surgical Tech unit covering multiple specialties including orthopedics, neurology, general surgery, ENT, urology, OB/GYN, and trauma,
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM,
• Every other weekend required,
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required,
• On-call is not required but may be offered or available,
• Epic EMR used; prior Epic experience is preferred,
• Free parking available in any unrestricted lot space,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of surgical tech experience required,
• Minimum of 1 year of travel experience required,
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required,
• BLS certification required,
• CA license required if applicable,
• Multi-specialty OR experience required, including trauma cases,
• Epic EMR experience preferred,

Additional Information

• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate,
• Former employees or travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler,
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract,
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year are required for consideration,
• Scrub color is open/any color; L&D scrubs are not provided by the facility
