Dietitian - Part Time

Responsibilities The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing evidence-based nutritional care to patients within an inpatient healthcare setting. This role includes conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and monitoring patient progress in collaboration with the interdisciplinary medical team. The Dietitian ensures nutritional interventions align with medical diagnoses, treatment goals, and regulatory standards. Additional responsibilities include educating patients and families on dietary modifications, participating in quality improvement initiatives, community outreach programs, and maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Employee may be required to float to the other facility within Southwest Health Rancho Springs and Inland Valley Hospital based on operational needs, with appropriate orientation and competency validation provided. Qualifications Education Completion of all academic and supervised practice requirements as set forth by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Commission on Dietetic Registration with a minimum of a master’s degree in food and/or nutrition related field granted by a USDE accredited institution or foreign equivalent. Only those seeking to become eligible for the Registration Examination for Dietitians for the first time, on or after January 1, 4, are required to have completed the minimum of a master’s degree granted by a USDE accredited institution or foreign equivalent. Individuals who established eligibility for the Registration Examination for Dietitians on or before December , 3, or those who are already registered will not be required by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) to obtain a master’s degree. Certifications/Licenses Maintains Certification in Food Service Sanitation by the Department of Health. Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or Registry Eligible status as a Registered Dietitian. If Registration eligible must pass the Commission on Dietetic Registration exam within 6 months of hire. Experience Previous experience as a Clinical Dietitian preferred.
