Rhino Medical is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for an ongoing locum tenens assignment supporting a high-volume emergency department in Portage, Wisconsin. This facility provides comprehensive emergency care in a fast-paced setting, supported by specialized telemedicine services, onsite helicopter, and close collaboration with surgical and hospitalist teams.

Schedule & Coverage:

• Day shifts: 7:00 am – 7:30 pm on 10/24, 10/26, 11/2-11/3, 11/7, 11/9-11/11, 11/16-11/17, 11/20-11/21, 11/27, 12/2, 12/9-12/10, 12/13-12/16
• Night shifts: 6:30 pm – 7:00 am on 11/14 and 11/15
  Support services include telestroke, Tele ICU, and onsite helicopter support.

Clinical Scope

• Management of approximately 40-60 patients per 24 hours
• Emergency department care within a high-volume setting supported by APCs and physicians
• Collaboration with general surgery, orthopedics, hospitalist team, telestroke, and tele ICU services
• Evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of diverse emergency cases

This emergency department serves as a key regional referral destination within 30 minutes of Madison and 20 minutes of Wisconsin Dells. The facility is equipped with modern emergency documentation and telemedicine support, fostering an efficient and collaborative clinical environment.

Requirements

• Active Wisconsin medical license
• MD degree (implied)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• DEA Registration
