Small well established PM/CM Firm seeks an Estimator/Project Engineer to fullfill the needs of our diverse client base. Excellent benefits package including medical, profit sharing, and retirement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing construction projects through estimating, design, construction and project closeout.
• Understanding of design process, construction drawings, performing quantity surveys and estimating.
• Limited travel.

Successful Candidates Should Have:

• BS in Construction Management, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Relevant experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.
• Prepare quality take-offs and quantity calculations to arrive at total construction costs.
• Provide support to estimators and project management throughout the life of project to compare company cost to estimate costs by tracking/updating schedule process, cost reports.
• Review job order change requests for costs effectiveness and work with the technical team to negotiate variations as needed.
• Proficient in reading contracts, specifications, plan designs, schedules and details.
• In-depth working knowledge of concepts and analysis of cost estimating in regards to budgeting, tracking costs and forecasting.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to perform in a high volume, time sensitive/deadline environment.
• Excellent problem solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and detail oriented.
• Proficient with several computer applications including MS Office Suite, P6, On Screen Take Off, Plan Swift or other computer take off software.
